A client committed to innovation and Information and Communication Technology
ICT and innovation are two concepts that for several years have been synonymous with the strategic planning behind the FSM Healthcare Foundation. The challenges FSM currently faces in the area of ICT include improving the quality of patient care, optimising the continuity of care by means of interoperability between centres and sharing relevant clinical information between the different care areas within Spain. The Foundation also aims to gradually implement mobility solutions, so that healthcare professionals have immediate access to clinical data when making decisions and to avoid patients making unnecessary trips.

Providing improved patient care thanks to integrated, easy-to-use technology
The information systems FSM already had in place—some tailor-made—were difficult to scale and featured complex integrations and specific infrastructures. This meant that the Foundation was dealing with redundant data, complex data exploitation and high management and maintenance costs. This model was not in line with the Foundation’s firm commitment to innovation, and nor were the systems easy to adapt to the future needs of FSM.
